Hi, my name is Colleen. I am the photographer and owner of Creehan Photography and I am the TC birth photographer. Welcome to my website. I am a lifestyle and documentary photographer. I am a storyteller and I use a camera and photographs as my medium. I aim to document emotion, personality, and true smiles of the people I photograph. Sessions with me are relaxed and fun! I document your life from the moment of birth to your 100th birthday! My style is the same throughout all that I photograph… capturing emotion, love, personality, and what is happening right now.
I started my business, Creehan Photography, in April of 2003. After taking photos of my niece when she was just 5 days old, I was hooked. I specialized in newborns and babies when I first started. I still LOVE photographing newborns and babies, but now I specialize in photographing love and personality. I quickly realized my passion was capturing life in love. I love the beauty of life. A mom snuggling into a book with her son, a great grandmother meeting her first born great grandchild for the first time, a young couple dancing and so in love at a music festival, a 20 year anniversary party, a couple joining in marriage. Capturing the emotions felt at those times. That’s what photography is about to me. Being able to remember what it felt like during a time in our past or being able to remember our babies and children as if they were small again. My photos capture that time so vividly you will be forced to remember the feelings you felt at that time. I love what I do and will work hard to capture the things you want to remember. I am open to photographing whatever life moment or event needs photographing… weddings, high school seniors, babies, children, families, reunions, music festivals and any other event you want to remember. If you are interested in more information about having photos taken at your baby’s birth, please contact me so we can chat about how that works. It is a possibility whether you are having your baby at home or in a hospital. I have experience with both and I am one of the few professional birth photographers in the area. I started photographing births 17 years ago when birth photography was just blossoming and was so excited to be featured in the Huffington Post several times. I have photographed over two dozen beautiful births and would love to be a part of your birth team! If you are not interested in birth photography, but would love to get images of your baby soon after being born; our Just Born or Newborn session would be a great way to freeze those first days or weeks in your postpartum haze.
