Ryan called me up earlier this month to see if I was available today, Saturday June 29th, 2024 and able to be flexible with the date in case of weather. I said I could make that work and Ryan put together a detailed document showing the layout of the property and a detailed timing plan and sent it to me earlier this week. It was super helpful!! It looked like it was going to rain on Saturday, so he switched the day to Friday, the 28th. The proposal was at Pond Hill Farm in Harbor Springs, Michigan. Wow, was this place beautiful. It is set up as a great place to hang out for the day with a playground, live animals, outdoor seating, and basketball hoops. The cafe had hard cider, wine, and beer that they made on site and the food was delicious and all made from ingredients grown on their farm! I got there early since I had never been there before. I walked around to find the best spot to capture this special moment without being seen by Emily. There was a tree right next to the spot Ryan indicated he was going to do the proposal. It was a bit bold… it even had a sign on it that said “view,” but it was big enough for me to hide behind. It ended up being the perfect spot! Ryan let me know when he arrived and that they were heading up shortly. He looked over at me when he got to the top and then got down on one knee and proposed to Emily! She said YES!
