I had the pleasure of photographing the marriage of two very special people. A local midwife’s daughter married her true love 2 weeks ago. This local midwife is also a dear friend of mine, someone I often work beside, and the midwife who supported me for my daughter’s birth 8 years ago. I was so glad that I could be there to celebrate and photograph this special day for her daughter. It was a rainy fall day, like it has been a lot lately, and it was beautiful. The rain poured for a good portion of the day, but the sun kept peaking out throughout the day. We were able to step outside in the sunshine several times throughout the day and also capture some photos in the gorgeous fall colors. The ceremony and reception was in the Cathedral Barn at the Historic Barns Park located beside the Village at Grand Traverse Commons in Traverse City, Michigan. What an amazing venue. The bride and groom had many games out and about throughout the reception for guests to enjoy. There was a big dance floor with many guests eager to stay and dance the night away. It was a beautiful celebration of love. Congratulations Hannah & Hazen!!
