I was interviewed for an article on birth photography for our local northern Michigan newspaper the Record Eagle in Traverse City, Michigan. It was such a pleasure to talk about what I do as a birth photographer and why I do it. Witnessing a baby being born is one of the most amazing and life changing events one will ever encounter. It is that way for the mother, father, and everyone who witnesses it. Watching women gather all the strength they can is beautiful and surreal. Seeing the head emerge and the first cries of the baby reminds us of the things that really matter. Life. Let’s celebrate it! Let’s capture that strength and beauty of labor and delivery so you can see it for yourself. Let’s capture those first moments so you never forget.
